The Bankers Association of Trinidad and Tobago (BATT) partnered with the Financial Literacy Secretariat to launch the Start-Up Programme on April 25th, 2022. The main aim of the programme was to provide new and upcoming businesses with the tools, training and support required to create viable and sustainable businesses. As such, from May 3rd – July 27th, 2022, 86 entrepreneurs in Tobago from 6 main sectors were exposed to a series of training workshops and individual mentorship/coaching sessions on the following:

• Strategic Business Planning & Development
  – Accounting & Recordkeeping
• Business Financing Options
• Advertising, Marketing and Brand Development
• Customer Service & Retention
• Business Management & Operations

Five“ Emerging Entrepreneur Awards” and business grants valued at $10,000.00 were given to the top 5 budding entrepreneurs who demonstrated the most progress and strong entrepreneurial skills
